1940s weekend, Haworth 2019

Alarm on to make sure we were up and out sharpish this morning. A drive over t'other side to Haworth for the 1940s event and a blipmeet too!

We parked in the local cricket ground, a bargain at £5 for the day. Their clubhouse was open for tea coffee and bacon barms, would have been rude not to ;-)

Then a walk down the main street into Central Park to meet up with Lovelupins17, Freyjad, Green56, Mambo, Evolybab, plus hub and PhotoPete, who we happend to bump into!

Lots of folk in costumes more than willing to pose, but I do like to try and get my shots without poses.

Couldnt resist this little evacuee for my main blip, love the way she was hanging onto her Dads arm. Obviously had to incude several extras, 6 in fact, if you'd care to have a quick look!

We all called into the church hall for a light lunch, before walking back down the hill, through the park, where some of us parted company.

Another walk back up the hill for the final time, we did stop at the bakery for a loaf and hub treated himself to a 'fat tyke' which is like a big flattened out scone. Then back to the car, where we had a coffee ( and a piece of lemon & poppy seed cake..ssh dont tell Evovlybab!!)

A straightforward drive home, in the house for 5pm, an all round lovely day, with lovely people, a friendly lively atmosphere, topped off by the weather which stayed dry!!

Perfect!
