Food for the afterlife

It's only been 5 days since Suki died so Ian and Ken are still grieving.

I went over to cook them lunch as Ian isn't cooking and they are not eating much at the moment.

In Japanese culture you live by the Shinto religion but die a Buddhist.

A shrine is made for any loved one who passes, together with offerings to ease the journey to the afterlife.

Over lunch we discussed how profound it is to experience the life leaving a being. How changed the body is after life is extinguished. Wether we believe in an afterlife or wether it's just comfort.
