Driving along ...

Off we went to go hiking in Angelo's convertible Audi, roof down and radio blaring. It was fun and almost surreal as we listened to "Questa stanza non ha più pareti ma alberi ..." on the radio.

Our hiking plan didn't quite work as we planned. It has rained so much that the Maunawili Falls hike was a mud bath. Too slippery and too gluggy to walk on. Thankfully, there was a road heading into the jungle that we were able to walk on for quite a while and that sated our walking appetite.

In the evening Beatrice and I went with John and Angelo to a performance of La Traviata at the Blaisdell, with dinner first at the Honolulu Men's Club. A really pleasant evening, and certainly something different. Tiziano and Ruben went to listen to the Saloon Pilots.

No photos for the day before, mainly because it was a work day for me whilst Ruben and Beatrice went to Pearl Harbor.
