Simple gifts

Here we see a glorious box of sunshine - part of a very thoughtful gift from two of our lovely friends who brought us everything we need for us to make a traditional christmas lunch, and two pretty wooden hearts and a glorious glittery pen which arrived in the post today from another lovely friend. I kid you not - I am covered in glitter from that pen!

It's wet outside but thankfully we do not have floods here, unlike other parts of the country where conditions are pretty serious. There is nothing we must do and nowhere we must go.

We are fortunate to have the gifts of time, good health, and friendship which is more than some people have.

Time to hunker down and listen to the festival of nine lessons and carols from Kings College Chapel in Cambridge on the radio.
