Oh well, that’s the excitement over for a while.

Turkish Airlines returned me to Edinburgh Airport safely and on time, with a nice wee lunch thrown in. After passing through Istanbul, Tbilisi and Baku Airports in the last 10 days, Edinburgh Airport is a complete slum by comparison.

The unpacking is done, the laundry situation assessed (scary) and the supermarket raided. Now I have to gird my loins to cut the grass before dark.

The Blip is the balcony of my room at the Terrace Guesthouse not long after sunrise. It was a beautiful morning - not quite warm enough for a coffee outside, but warm enough to think about it.

I was very sad to leave.
