Hermit's Castle

Staying for a couple of nights on a long-overdue visit to my niece and her young family, and able to help out by getting the great niece and nephew to take me for a walk to the 'castle' and beach while their parents got on with moving from their old crofthouse into the caravan on their croftland.

A new house is planned, and a future bringing back a measure of productive agriculture to the croft.

Long, interesting discussion with my niece's husband about the tensions among people here around what the appropriate and viable ways of making the local economy a healthy one are.
