Nuts

It being the day for the annual traffic jam festival, we decided shopping could be skipped.  So, a day of family admin, blind making and paint decisions.

I can't remember when you pick almonds - I think it is August maybe?  But I'm just hoping these ones hold on through any hot dry spells we get this year (though with the weather we're having at the moment, that seems like a distant dream).

Later, I gave up in my fight to have any control over TV watching, and as a result we all watched Trainspotting.  I think Mr B may have slightly regretted that decision.  The kids spent most of the movie studiously observing their phones.
