In her element

I picked Blipper Ladyfindhorn up at Alnmouth Station for her day out in my little bit of Northumberland.

We had a walk on the beach after stopping to take pix of some stunning poppies, then headed over to this little gem of a wool shop in Felton. Disappointingly it was shut but after enquiring in the cafe downstairs the women opened it up for us to browse and told us to lock the door on leaving. Wasn’t that splendid? Spoiled for choice of course but we restrained ourselves, (more or less.). The cafe woman took our money and Lady F treated me to a coffee. Luckily we decided to share a scone as it was so enormous it took the place of lunch. Almost.

I drove us back to Rothbury. Mr C had just got home from Newcastle on the bus (we are a one car family) from seeing Ella sing in her choir. He said she had her worried wee face on. Turns out she’s skipped a few lunchtime rehearsals in favour of playing outside with her friends, so she was a bit hazy on the words.

The sun was shining so LadyF and I had a walk through the woods to the moor and down, then had a late lunch.

Mr C kindly drove her the 40 minutes to the station as I’d got to drop stuff off with Val before she leaves for Ireland and was pushed for time.

The tongues did not stop as you can imagine!
