Allen's Fresh

Allen's Fresh feeds into the Wicomico River. It is a special place in early spring as the yellow perch spawn there. It is also a great place to kayak.  On the other side of the bridge the inlet is narrow and requires some portaging, but the water has some pretty cool wildlife. There are a ton of egrets nesting there as well as a colony of beavers. The road to Allen's Fresh is only one turn for us, but it is much used by the Amish so you have to be very careful to avoid a collision with one of their buggies. Kind of a nail biter in the turns.
