New residents

The pile of stones dug out from the flower bed,  now in a heap in the corner of the patio has made a good hiding place for a family of field voles. There are at least three, probably more.   I've spotted sparrow hawks diving down in the field across the fence, so stay safe in the stones little voles. You can stand quite close and watch them scurrying around. I had thought something had been eating one of my new plants. Field voles eat leaves, I think I have found the culprits. The one on the right looks like he has been in a fight , maybe there is competition for my pile of stones. Definitely wild and very cute
