Apricots ......

"Ripen at home"  Love it when they say this on the packet.  It usually means that they will remain as hard as bullets :)  

Busyish day,  Richard arrived back from Chicago at 8.45 this morning and has spent the day fighting jet lag.  It took the team about 29 hours to do the 200 mile run.  The race was stopped for almost three hours at midnight owing to a wild thunderstorm.  I'm not sure where they came in reckonings and I don't think they care ...... they got through it and that's what counts.  
 They're already discussing the next one!  

Predictably there was quite a bit of washing, including his running kit which has been festering in a plastic bag for several days, added some laundry Dettol to that wash.  Now it's all done, including the ironing so that will leave me free for the weekend.
