Flood (2)

Following the rain the country has been having over the last few days, the River Avon at Stratford is again flooded, though as previously it has flooded the recreation ground rather than the residential side of the river.

The water was flowing very fast and we watched a swan being swept along with the current. Although it looked like the swan was not in control it managed to drift across the river and end up next to its mate by the bandstand.

In other news, as it is Christmas Eve today I made the Chestnut, Mushroom and Cranberry bake we will be having with tomorrow's lunch, and also prepared half a ton of sprouts. That just leaves the sausages, parsnips, potatoes and stuffing to do tomorrow.

I would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Tomorrow's blip will probably be a family replete and slumped in front of the TV.
