Tête-à-tête

I am inordinately pleased to have acquired my French senior railcard today. It took an explanatory email last week from a French friend, registering on two websites, entering an imaginary postcode into the compulsory postcode field, payment, approval, a phone app to remove 'Allemagne' from my web-mangled address and insert 'Grande Bretagne', retrieving the card from a ticket machine at Gare de Lyon, having a passport photo taken, finding the SNCF ticket office, getting the photo officially fixed to the card and grinning with glee.

And I still caught my train to Grenoble with 28 fellow-singers from our Oxford choir. We were met at the station and whisked straight to a two-hour rehearsal of the pieces we sang together in Oxford three weeks ago.

Please forgive lack of comments over the next little while.
