Mossy Reflections

I think my attraction to this scene was the mossy green patch in the rear and its reflection in the water, so I tried to focus attention on those elements.

Sometimes I notice I'm drawn to take a photograph without fully understanding why and this is probably one such. On closer examination, I think the dark tree reflections running vertically down the frame funnel the viewers attention towards the mirrored moss. A slanted trunk on the right keep the eye from slipping out and the curved branch in the centre is very strong.

I like also the wispy sprouts from the base of the tree and their reflections. They would make a study all of their own.
