Comes a time

So I took my 90 year old Mum out for lunch and a wander around Malmesbury Abbey and Abbey House Gardens.

As we approached the ticket hut for the gardens I said to mum "Show your face. You might get a concessionary price.".

When I approached the hut and asked for "two adults please" the very pleasant lady looked at us and asked "anyone over 60?"

Er, well, both of us actually.

And so it was that for the first time in my life, and enexpectedly at that, I was classed as a "Senior Citizen".
