Boat trips

But not in this boat. I believe that the one they use for river and sea trips  from Berwick is a little bigger!

Coat of eggshell on the window surrounds in the living room today. And we put the stained glass in to the window frame between the 'Music room' and the hall. Hooray!

Went into Berwick with MrM later on. Too late for a sit-down meal, we took fish & chips to eat by the quayside (near the boat in the Blip). Not such a good idea - managed to get chip fat all over my clean jeans. Never mind, don't suppose anyone looked at my legs! Then to the Curfew for a couple of pre-concert drinks with Frank and Rena. The best cider in the Northeast and, apparently the beer is good too!

Finally, we all made our way to the Maltings for 'The Art of Love: Alma Mahler's Life and Music' and 'Kokoschka's Doll', with the ensemble Counterpoise and two opera singers. Nice to chat with several friends and acquaintances who were in the audience - not surprising, as our friend JC composed the music for 'Kokoschka's Doll'.  It's a rather sad tale about the artist, Kokoschka, who had tragic love affair with Alma Mahler. She was, by all accounts, a bit of a trollop!
