Papal Blessing on Easter

Easter Sunday! What a day to be in Rome!!

We attended an English language mass at a church near St. Peter's.  In what turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip, I was asked to proclaim the second reading!  After mass we headed to St. Peter's for the Noon proclamation and papal blessing.  After the mass was finished Pope Francis rode around the square in the "Pope Mobile".  We had a great spot to see him and get a few pics as he moved by.  It was very moving to be part of the huge crowd on Easter Sunday.  After the events at the Vatican, we walked to a restaurant near the Pantheon for a delicious lunch.  Later in the day we toured the Colosseum.  Another amazing day in the books!!
