Wound up in Wexford

Rhododendron

We had promised ourselves a day off from the garden today, and decided to visit the rhododendrons in Sheringham Park.  I think we should issue a health warning to Norfolk folk - if we are going to Sheringham Park, it will rain.  We've had dry weather now for over a week, but of course it rained, quite hard at times, whilst we were out - though there has not been any significant rain here, so W is currently outside watering our garden.

Despite the rain, Sheringham Park was delightful, with some glorious rhododendrons.  And we also found a lovely dragonfly on a stick in the shop that will look good near our pond.  And since we were in North Norfolk, we had to visit Natural Surroundings, where we bought some plants to augment our "controlled wild" bed at the bottom of the garden - teasel and mullein amongst others.  I'm hoping that these will self seed and spread, and the bed will become "self-sustaining".
