The First Iris Bloom

Lots of things are happening in the yard, as spring turns into summer. There are moments in life that are just amazing. Walking through the yard early in the day and spotting the first iris bloom of the year backlit by the morning sun is one of them. And note the tight, dark purple buds: three more blooms will be coming! :-)
