Newbies

Another late blip.

After a wasted journey to Exmouth yesterday (not interview related this time) I thought a relaxing afternoon at the duckponds was the way to go. It was the usual pandemonium down there. The ducklings trying to find somewhere to rest in peace, Mr and Mrs Swan harassing them whilst snapping at anything that gets a bit too close to the cygnets, who were quite content to just float on the pond, or gobble up the lettuce I'd thrown for them. Add to that the male ducks chasing females and fighting off others, then the gulls swooping and pouncing on the bread people were throwing for the ducks and swans. Amongst all that was this young female mallard swimming around with her two tiny babies.
What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
