Historic venue

L and I went out to South Queensferry to hear our friend H before in an afternoon musical performance in the old Priory Church. The building dates back almost six hundred years, although it fell out of use as a church after the Reformation and the current church consists of only the former choir, tower and south transept. The original nave was demolished in the nineteenth century before restoration started. The concert - celebrating forty years of the group - was a mix of tunes from musicals they had done in the past and more up to date songs and was most enjoyable. And L even won some sweets in the raffle so a good time all round!
