Elected:-)

Home in the wee small hours of this morning after a good night at the European Election Count Collation and Seat Allocation in Edinburgh. Although the Seat allocation didn’t happen until today as we were waiting on the results from Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, who don’t count on the Sunday.

That said we had a pretty good indication last night that we had managed to get three MEP’s elected.

This is my fifth European Election Campaign as staff and for all those campaigns three has been the aim and this time we did it. And we did it on the eve of my 21 year work anniversary too!

A double celebration for me :-)

Thanks to each and every voter who supported us.

We won in 30 of the 32 Local Authority counting areas. And all 32 counting areas voted for Parties who stood on a platform of remaining in the European Union.

This is a further endorsement of the European Referendum result in Scotland when we voted overwhelmingly to remain.

In my opinion it will be morally and democratically wrong for Scotland to be dragged out of the European Union by Westminster and Westminster must take this result in Scotland into consideration.

Grateful for the trust of those who voted SNP and grateful for 21 years of work in a job I love, working for a cause I believe in passionately and with a great bunch of people.
