Scotland Day 11

Sun, Sea, Sand and more sand, and more sand, and more sand....

As it was another glorious day we headed over to Luskentyre Beach again, this time when the tide was well and truly out and boy was it impressive.  Lovely white sand for as far as the eye could see and NO ONE ELSE ON THE BEACH!!

We spent a good three hours just wandering before heading back, via the Machair Kitchen for some lovely food.

Machair is the Gaelic word for the plains of hardy grasses and wild flowers and is one of the rarest habitats in Europe, however, the whole of the Outer Hebrides seems to be covered in it!!
