World of hat!

Is the name of the museum I went to today in Riga. I visited last year, but with M. at the conference, I decided to make a return visit . They had changed the exhibition since last year, and I was particularly taken by this ‘animal’ hat, which comes from Panama in Central America. It is worn on the head, as opposed to being worn over the face like a mask. There was lots to stimulate my imagination, plus a couple of hats from Uzbekistan which I recognised from my year in the Soviet Union, as it was then, I must have them in a box somewhere!

I treated myself to tea and cake on the way back, in an art nouveau cafe.(see extra especially for dorsetb)
