Cnoc Breac and Loch Sunart

We stayed near Kilchoan and decided to go up the Marilyn of Ben Hiant before going back to Edinburgh. It was much cooler and cloudier than the previous evening, so we actually wore gloves and jacket to keep warm. Ben Hiant is a fine hill that we go up again when the weather is better. We stayed just below the cloud and had reasonable views over Mull, but the best views were south east over Cnoc Breac and Loch Sunart with a gap in the cloud letting the sun shine on the peninsula of Cnoc Breac. We went over the Corran Ferry and then down through Glencoe in drizzly rain before arriving at the lochans on Rannoch Moor where the sun was shining Meall a’Bhuiridh in the Black Mount. The extra is looking over Lochan na h-Achlaise towards the wee hill of Creag an Fhirich with Meall a’ Bhuiridh with a wee bit of snow near the top, with the cloud hanging around the corries.

Yesterday’s blip.
