Jardin sous la pluie

Yes, I know Debussy's title is plural, but this is one garden ...and no: we didn't go for a walk in the Gardens in the rain, but took the route through one side of them to return from a walk along the west side of Loch Eck. It was actually more pleasant than we expected; the rain stayed off until we were turning to come home, and by the time we got back to the car we were drenched, waterproof (not very) trousers and all. But I love this photo, the lushness and the greenness and the water cleared of the flower casings that floated on it earlier in the month. There was water everywhere, purling down hillsides, creating new channels, white and brown and swirling.

In contrast to my torpor of earlier in the week, this was quite a busy day - early in the supermarket, then to the church to dismantle the Easter Garden and put the components somewhere safe, then planning a retreat with my pal. And tomorrow I'm up insanely early to get to Oban for a meeting.

And the rain seems to have stopped ...
