#WalkIt 2019 Dogs in Bandanas

Today was the big day, WalkIt Swansea 2019, an IBD Awareness walk for Crohns and Colitis UK charity.  This is the 5th year it's been going now, the 4th with the charity on board.  It's one of my proudest achievements to go from just 50 walkers that first year to the massive event that it has now become.  Today we had 80 sign ups on the day, making the total number of walkers at 377.

Every year we've been lucky with the weather as well, and again the sun was shining down upon us.  There were loads of happy faces during the walk and especially at the finish, so that's great.  There were so many inspirational stories and brave people walking.  One of the last finishers was a young gentleman who was recovering from a recent hospital episode, he struggled across the finishing line and all his friends were there to help which made him, and all of us quite emotional.  To top it all, he's only gone and raised £1,000 for his walk, an amazing achievement.

So this young gentleman here is William, the dog of one of our volunteers, he's previously walked the event.  All dogs get bandanas and I just think they look so cute.
