Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Hison or heron?

Whatever the gender, spotting a heron on the centre of town is pretty good I reckon. I had a conversation the other day on blip about how lucky we are to have such lush green riverbanks right thorough the centre of a capital city and here is more proof. Don't know what it was watching but it scarcely moved an inch while we watched for over 10 minutes

It was a mixed day weatherwise today lots of alternating drizzle and sunny periods and quite warm but the wind is really building up tonight.
Church this morning, I was reading, it was the wonderful story of Paul and Silas in prison. We had our monthly congregational lunch today too, then headed over to A's new house which she gets on Friday, to do some measuring. It was lovely to see it and meet the sellers who were selling their family home which their family had been in since it was new in 1956. I think A convinced then she was going to love it and look after it, but it does need a fair bit of work. Still, they're young!
Back home and I did a fair bit of gardening, topping up the potato bags putting in the beans and generally tidying up. Went for a walk before dinner then relaxed this evening. our friends went back to the States today. It's wonderful that the world is small enough that we can maintain such long distance friendships.
15002 steps today, 3/4 so that's ok.
