dragon's breath

...we have given up all hope of seeing any dry weather this holiday so it was no disappointment that it rained all night and most of the day. On the off-chance that it might get a bit better after lunch, we drove over to Llangennith and enjoyed some excellent food and drink at the King's Head, where the landlord was overjoyed to receive such a large party on an otherwise dreadful day. I simply couldn't resist ordering the Welsh lamb curry that was billed as Dragon's Breath on the specials menu - and it turned out to be a great choice. With the rain still falling, no walk took place and we returned to the cottage for tea and coffee.

By 3pm, the weather was looking distinctly better so L and I went back to Worm's Head where we had a bracing walk in a potpourri of gales, hail and something approximating brightness. The next wave of clearer weather could be seen gradually approaching from the south west but it would be dark by the time it arrived. Unfortunately, there is no real hood on this lens and rain drops are inevitable in these conditions!

Tomorrow, will be our last day in the Gower and L and I will be driving back to Dorset during the evening...
