Whitbarrow Lime Kiln

I search of a geocache I found my way onto the top of the lime kiln and was rewarded with a spectacular view. View of the kiln, from the base, in extras. This kiln will have been built some time in the 1800s to  make lime from limestone; Cumbria has hundreds of old kilns all over the county. According to "Visit Cumbria" there are several in our valley. This is the first one ticked off.
