Big bird!

A handsome pileated woodpecker has been a regular visitor to our backyard recently. He flew in this morning as I was filling the bird feeders, so I grabbed my camera and snapped his picture. His mate was also visiting, and you can see two pictures of her in today's extras.

I've been largely absent from Blipfoto recently because we've been hard at work renovating our house and yard. Unfortunately, there are only 24 hours in a day., and some things, like processing and posting Blips, don't fit into those hours. However, I still love Blipfoto and wish I could be here on a daily basis.
