The National Anthem

We really do put on a good show and the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings was no exception.

The platform party during the national anthem - Theresa May appears to be the only member of the lineup singing but, apart from Prince Charles, she is the only UK citizen in view. The most interesting observation is the number of guests behind her taking photographs  (extra photo 1, far right) of the Queen during her speech!

As a post-war baby, I have no recollections of family involvement but am in awe of the bravery of those that took such risks for the freedom I enjoy.
