cairn chorus

D and I have just arrived home from a concert by the Cairn Chorus (accompanied by the Galloway Agreement) at the Theatre Royal in Dumfries. The theme was "Long Live the Weeds and the Wilderness Yet" from the poem Inversnaid by Gerard Manley Hopkins, with songs and readings reflecting sad times for animals on our planet, but ending with more positive messages of hope for the environment.

It was strange to be in the audience rather than singing in the choir, but from this perspective I could appreciate all the hard work that had gone on to learn all the words!
