Wild Iris Berries

Wild iris likes to grow in shady places. This one is under the big hedge. Most of the vertical leaves are daffodils, which obviously like the shelter as they are way ahead of their counterparts in the open.

Another nor’westery day, which tempered the frost somewhat, but the wind coming down from the mountains (see extra) was as mean as they come. A great day for getting the washing dry, but not for gardening.
