This is the Aged Train

Those of a certain age will get the reference!

A nice day's guarding, one very full train, one much less so.   Sunshine to start in Tywyn but a cold deluge at the other end of the line!  Showery summed it up but it was a beautiful evening as I drove home across the country, somewhat later home than planned due to various road closures.

The picture is today's Victorian Train, Dolgoch, three coaches and the original guard's van looking much as they might have done in the 1860's.  The Victorians were not as tall as us which makes working this van better suited to guards well under six feet!   I was working a more modern set today.
