Breakfast at the Ivy

With Oman daughter flying back to Oman tomorrow to wind up her life there before she comes back to Scotland for good, we decided to breakfast at The Ivy this morning. It’s always a very civilised experience, well worth the extra shekels in indulging ourselves.
She will be able to luxuriate in some hot Muscat sunshine before she returns in 2 months to suffer the rigours of what remains of this Scottish summer.

The forecast of rain didn’t materialise as early as expected so I had a dry cycle run to visit a friend this afternoon where we enjoyed a wide ranging discussion on things theological, secular and everything in between, commonly known as gossip.

And before I knew it, it was another Friday evening and time for yet more gossip with neighbours over a glass of wine in the local hotel. I do look forward to this hour every week , especially as I fear this weekend is going to be very wet and miserable. Let’s hope my fears are unfounded.
