Love this idea

An early morning start planning to visit Marmaris Castle before it got too warm. Came across a local tending his veg & fruit plot on the way. Said hello, shook hands through the fence then invited me in to be nosy. Pomegranate, lime, medlar & fig trees, plus lots of herbs, dill, parsley, rocket, & basil. Tomatoes, aubergine, cucumber, chillies, melon, carrots & onions. Scented geraniums, roses & marigolds. A pair of goats plus 2 kids, oh, & a cute little dog. Fascinating half an hour sharing a common interest with limited language. Love it.
After that a visit to the castle, by which time it was warming up. Interesting artifacts in the museum & fabulous views across to the mountains & out to sea. Back to the beach for a late breakfast, then swim & Read. So lazy.
The gentleman in the front row of sunbeds, the one I was telling you about, with the escort???? Well, I overheard him tell someone that he's here for another 3 weeks but down to his last 12 Weetabix. Oh dear!
Dinner was 50/ 50 tonight. The calamary, I know, I think one company must have printed all the Marmaris restaurant menus as they all have the same spelling mistake, was tasty, the garlic prawns - wery wery wubbery. Lovely Greek salad minus the smelly feta
