Quant

Awake to a wet London Town! A scurry about to get coffee, croissants and the papers before jumping back into bed. Well, there are no chairs in the room anyway.
Off down to that V&A for a monkey about before viewing the Mary Quant exhibition. And an entertaining little thing it is - a good bit of the social history of the sixties threaded through it for those of us less au fait with pinafore styles.
Needing a seat, we legged it to the Science Museum where the film at their iMax was Hubble 3D - a fine diversion though the biggest wow moment was the Warner Bros logo spinning out the screen at you.
Back to North London - up to Kentish Town to an extremely funky bar in old underground toilets. London Calling. Well, it’s a cocktail, innit. On down the road via a meal at Babuji to Hygge Pygge where we’d been lined up with a surprise gigette. BYOB too! Two artists who were pretty good and the third, Iosif Purits who was utterly mesmerisingly fanstastique! Who knew accordion playing could be that wonderful. Seriously, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons? Wowza. Home, happy and knackered.
