Len's Veg Patch

When the workmen dug out the pond, they removed a lot of soil which got heaped up on a plastic sheet at the back of the house.

Len has been shifting it little by little and has made a raised corridor  next to the fence in which he has planted potatoes. But there was still soil left over.

So he has made a raised bed into which he has poured the soil and compost. The tomatoes, carrots and beetroot appear to be doing well. Onions have sprouted, and so have the lettuce and carrot seeds at the front. I tell Len that he will have to prick some out to get decent sized veg, but he's loath.
