Very Cheerful

Managed to catch up on my missed tasks yesterday & get two trailer loads of branches to the local council compost yard at Hawangen. The first trip this year but that also means not enough has been done in the garden!

On the way to Hawangen with the second trailer and with only 10 minutes until closing time, happened to meet Stefan trudging up the last few meters of a very steep hill on his Deutz. At the first opportunity overtook & dashed ahead a 100m getting the camera armed so that I could quickly get a shot.

Think he was in as much as a hurry as I was, probably heading off for some event in the area. Stefan is the elder son of a village farmer and our parish Works Dept Chief who was Bliped just the other day. Stefan like his father is a great supporter of traditional Bavarian Swabian culture in all its forms, including animal welfare.

He and the 1952 Deutz F1L 514/51 have featured on Blip a few times, I think the first one being 4th September 2015 perched on the tractor behind his younger brother & the following day, in the extra photo with his father holding the Potato Club sign. Sadly the club has been disbanded. I think they drank all the club funds away!

Was nicely cloudy and cool when I did the morning toil but the sun came out at midday and provided a good day for doing some work outdoors - could and should have done more machine work as it's a long weekend and no garden machine work allowed for the next two days.
