Common Milkweed

A favorite wildflower - because it smells amazing and because it is the host for Monarch butterflies. There are nice patches of it both here at my home and up in the hayfield we walk through regularly. I took this snap with my phone on our walk this morning and only discovered the bonus bug when I uploaded it to the computer. It's the underside of the milkweed bug that you can see in the middle of the frame.
