My topsy-turvy life

Entrepreneurship

Summer Fair time and being in year 6 Aaron's class were asked to come up with ideas to make money to put towards their end of year trip.

Aaron's idea was to sell sweets and lollies...
10p for a small bag of sweets
50p for a bigger 'mystery' bag
50p for a variety of ice lollies

He managed to sell pretty much everything he had despite the day being a bit of a washout, cold and rainy. Even the ice lollies. OK so we had to drop the prices to 10p in the end and the last few were more like ice mush but it all went and we couldn't be prouder of him. He manned his stall all afternoon, even when he had a break to play football he came running back to serve customers.

We even had family, Nan and Auntie, coming along and buying sweets to boost his profits.
