Surveying

I had the bright idea of heading into the city centre to look at toasters. We need to buy a new one since our old toaster has just become an -er (it doesn't toast any more). However, I'm not up on the current toaster range and I needed to see what's out there. Fred and I walked through Brockwell Park, which was full of glorious autumnal colours, to Brixton and then on the Tube to John Lewis. I managed to remember to buy buttons for the duvet cover, too (where have those buttons gone?) I think I know which toaster to go for, so the survey proved useful. However, shopping in John Lewis is not fun - the escalators and stairs confuse you and it's hard to find the way out. I thought we were trapped several times. Phew!
