Rosa Rugosa...

...from some roots spreading along a sandy coast. And it has given me a tall hedgerow about 15 years later.

I don't know if this is regarded as a wild flower or a garden flower.

But the spreading roots came from a Rosa Rugosa which has probably been growing since WW2 rubble from Liverpool was dumped on Crosby shore.

It took awhile to establish in my garden

The scent is heavenly.

Had good day, but I am so tired and ready for bed and it's not even 6pm.

Stuck in potting shed until this deluge of rain abates. I do have a hooded jacket, but Popeye has absolutely no intention of coming back to the bungalow with me in the rain.

Take care x
