Bank

When we arrived here this bank was just grass (as was the area that is now paved terrace).  It's a bit more interesting now, and probably easier to maintain - it was quite a slope when it came to mowing it.  

A few things are getting a touch over-rampant and will need restraint in a year or so.  Nice to see the Photinia coming back in glorious colour (the red leaves, near left) after I gave it a hard pruning this year.
