Moved on

We left the fly ridden camp site and drove round the southern end of the Lac to find it looked a lot nicer and there was a campsite there too. Oh well put it down to experience and move on.
We’ve moved on , mostly in pouring rain to the beautiful town of Colmar, pictured, which on a cool rainy bank holiday evening was nevertheless fairly lively. We walked around for a bit admiring the lovely mediaeval buildings and marvelling at the audacity of town planners who could allow a spectacularly ugly block of public toilets next to such beautiful places.
LooseCanon got a lovely shot of some ancient half timbered buildings nicely set off by a lady in bright green trousers with gold shoes and matching bag. Of course who am I to criticise French fashion choices?
The pink building in the photo was a bit over the top twee I thought but never mind it’s a colourful scene on a grey day.
Tomorrow? Switzerland. Probably.

Meanwhile you might like to see our son’s musings on the adventures of a perfectly innocent aubergine.
