Córdoba - Day 3

Backblip
Breakfast today was at a very nice Cafe called La Sultana where I has delicious fresh fruit granola with Greek yogurt and great coffee. Weather today was destined to be highs of 24 - perfect!

Our plan for today was to enjoy noseying in peoples patios as there is a Patio Festival on here in Córdoba for two weeks in which homeowners and business open up their places to the general public for us to marvel at the riot of colour and sheer beauty of flowers.

We decided not to do businesses but to head up to the Green route which was private houses. A little bit further to walk to get there but that is what we do, we walk as a way of relaxing ! We walked through little cobbled streets to each open patio dropped a Euro each into the plate and were completely bowled over at the colours and smells of the Patios. This is what flowers in pots look like when they get loads of sunshine......

I think we visited around 8 - each one totally different - some were tiny and rammed with pots and colour and a couple were quite big - it certainly gave me inspiration for my own pots!

All that walking made us hungry so we found a fabulous restaurant that also had a inner courtyard serving delicious Middle Eastern food. Such a lovely setting.

We walked back to the old town after the lunch and decided to get tickets for the show at 9pm of the horses of the Royal Stables. Magnificent Andalusian horses and very handsome horsemen. No photos allowed at the show, but we were able to get In the grounds At 6pm when they practise and watched and took photos then.

I absolutely loved it.

Another busy day so after the show we headed back to the flat and tomorrow we move on to Granada
