MAJORCA DAY 4

Soller......
The plan (there’s always a plan!!) was for an early breakfast and the bus to Palma. Unfortunately the bus was full so we had to resort to a taxi so we didn’t miss the train.
The €23 train journey to Soller is fabulous....an hour across countryside, through mountain tunnels and with amazing views across to Soller and the port.
We stopped in Soller for a church visit and a cafe stop....I think it would have been nicer to stop in the town a bit longer.
Then we caught the old wooden tram (€7)to the port where we enjoyed a delicious meal and beautiful views. It’s a lovely area and would make a good base. After a stroll and a paddle we caught the bus back to Palma. Only €4 back!!
Half of us got the next bus back to the hotel via a quick supermarket shop and the rest had a stroll through Palma and then caught the bus....they made it back before us!!!
We had a giggle around the supermarket with Heather stepping up to group leader!!!
At 8pm we made our way back down to the beach for an evening picnic.....washed down with a good homemade beach bar :))
