Thank You For the Days ..

Drookit

There's a good Scots word for many situations involving unpleasant weather.  Drookit means drenched, with overtones of dripping, sodden, limp, and general misery. The perfect description of conditions today. We have an amber flood alert, I can understand why.

I got no further than the garage (washing in the dryer), and the Hayloft (stove on, stitching the binding on the Shadow Box quilt). With a brief stop at the back door for a hasty blip of Wollerton Old Hall, bravely flowering while bent double under the weight of water.

Percy and Douggie have slept all day - again.
