Thank You For the Days ..

By Fyael

The Good News is ...

that the rain has stopped, for now anyway. But for most of the day it poured.

It was our last singing class this morning and we had the usual end of term mixture of solo slots, requests and, of course, cake.

After that, lunch and back to the flat where TM remembered we needed to send off the readings from our recently installed smart meters. This turned out to be rather more complicated than it used to be with the old, not-so-clever ones. TM looked out the leaflet we'd been issued with, and I decided to get the bus into town - 'looking for a picture' is a wonderful get-out clause, I find.

Where else to go on  a wet day but the Museum. It was pretty full of school parties and damp tourists. Not many people braved the roof terrace (that could have something to do with the lift, surely the world's slowest).  I only lingered long enough to snap the drooping flowers in the planters and the grey clouds drifting over the Pentland Hills.

Home now, and the fire is on ..... again.
